Happy Monday! I am crossing my fingers that we finally have a five day week. That being said, I have some concerns due to the results I've been getting on assessments and what I've been observing in class. It seems like a lot of us have back tracked a little bit. I am sure that the inconsistency we've had due to snow days plays a huge role, but I was sad to see the overall scores from our reading and spelling tests last Friday. Please encourage your child to practice their spelling words throughout the week and to be reading to you, another adult, a sibling, or themselves at least 10 minutes a night! I am hopeful that the past couple weeks have just been a little crazy and that the improvement I was seeing after winter break will continue.
