I hope you all had an amazing break last week! Your sweet kids definitely made coming back to reality a little easier for me today. :)
MAP Testing
The MAP test is an assessment we give in math and reading three times a year. It is very important and provides us with a ton of data on what your child knows. With this information, we are able to form groups and really do our best to meet each child's needs.
We will be taking the reading MAP test this Thursday morning and the math MAP test next Thursday morning.
Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep the night before and that they eat breakfast that morning. Also, please ask your child if they have headphones to use at school. I have a few extra, but I prefer not to share a ton of headphones in an attempt to not spread germs.
Lastly, please reiterate to your child the importance of trying their best on these tests, so that we can see all the amazing things they know and so we can celebrate their growth! We are doing a lot of goal setting and discussing test taking strategies at school, but I know that if the kids realize their parents also think the test is important, they will be even more motivated to try their best.

Reading Logs
If your child has not already returned their November reading log, please have them bring it tomorrow. We will eat lunch in the classroom with everyone who remembers to return it!
